I've wanted this stool with stand for a long time. Similar stools can be bought in different stores. This one was purchased from Revain and I am very happy with it. It's beautiful and durable. You sit comfortably on it. It doesn't tip over or rock unevenly. The wood is beautifully finished, but a bit rustic. Leather seat in matte distressed black. Looks a little dusty. It's not terrible and it's not great. It is in order. I like the function of the guards on the stool's lower bars, which protect the wood from abrasion from shoes and paw rubbing. My two cats only give this stool three stars out of four. You sit on it, but much more like the old shabby stool with cushions that this new stool has replaced.
