Current Model Review

These are great boots so my review is all about getting the size right. Previous reviewers have raised concerns about the lack of hem lining, narrow calves, and tightness at the ankle. Mine were around the hole so don't worry about irritating my skin. I usually wear a size between 7.5 and 8 so I went for an 8. It's a tight fit, more like a shoe than a rubber boot, but I love how sturdy it is. It fits snugly around my 13.5 inch calf (measurements include skinny jeans). So if you have large calves or like to wear loose-fitting pants, one size up is probably better. The same goes if you plan to double your socks or wear a boot. I wear mine to run around the garden and occasionally dig holes so they aren't heavily used and I don't mind the thinness of the sole, but if you really want to shovel you should probably go up a size to get one pillow insert. I can put mine on without using my hands but it takes a bit of jiggling to get the angle right and I can see how difficult it would be to get hands free if you have large calves or a real one full size. If you like loose boots or pants, have large calves, need to put them on hands-free, or are really a full size, you'll probably want to go up a size.
