I've been using SK-II Face Essence for over 15 years and will be purchasing them from my local Neiman's. This has been the only essence on the market for at least the last ten years, but in the last 5 years K-Beauty trends have increased and therefore the market is completely saturated with other essences that are frankly MUCH better. almost much cheaper. After trying so many different Essence products I can easily say this is DECENT but slightly UNLOADED and I believe it has to do with cult following.
