I used this postoperative post. The main problems after surgery are compression, too much or too little, swelling coming and going. Wow that was a hassle to think about so I bought this item in case I needed something that could be constantly adjusted day or night. I'm glad I did. After surgery, everything involves sitting, eating, swelling, and trying to get some sleep. Most importantly, the Velcro and stretchy material make it easy to adjust compression, and because of the width, there are no gaps you'll miss with multi-fabric bras and bands. Wear this over a t-shirt and you'll get rid of the lymph. I wish they had a full vest version so the upper chest could be enclosed. FYI I still need bras though
