I don't often write reviews but I had to stop by and say how happy I am with it. I was looking for a simple solution to mount an iPhone 12 in a car. It was definitely the right call! I've had issues with other mounts slipping or rotating and even falling off the vent. The J-Hook holds the bracket super on the ventilation slot! It doesn't move at all when you fix it. I was a bit worried about the Magsafe charger staying in the cradle, but there's an adhesive circle in the middle that keeps it in place once you peel it off and insert the charging pad into the cradle. very good. Be sure to thread the charging cable through the hole before peeling off the adhesive to avoid stickiness when trying to pull the cable through. You have to stretch the cable hole a bit to insert the cable, but the silicone snaps into place once you thread it through. In terms of holding my phone, I have an Apple Magsafe case on my iPhone 12 Pro (not Max) and when it's on the mount it stays in place really well. Haven't hit big bumps yet to see if it falls, but I've negotiated speed bumps with no problem. Can't speak to non-Magsafe cases (or how the iPhone Pro Max holds it), but it works fine with what I have. I touched the phone or when I ripped it off. I re-tightened the ring so I hope this fixes the problem permanently and it doesn't happen again. Overall I think this is a great and easy fix for the iPhone 12 with Apple Magsafe cases. I just hop in my car, hold the phone close to the mount and as soon as I feel the magnets grab I just let go!
