Review on Jabra Speak 410 Corded Speakerphone: Portable USB Speaker with Excellent Sound Quality for Easy Softphone Meetings Anywhere by Rodney Gonzalez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent audio quality with Cisco and Microsoft business applications

I travel a lot for business and this speaker connects to my laptop (via USB) and mobile phone (via bluetooth) and works great as a portable travel speaker. I tested it on both Skype for Business calls and Cisco Jabber calls and the sound quality was amazing. Compared to my PC, iPhone 7+ and my Microsoft HD webcam microphone, this product has better microphone sensitivity and white background noise rejection. Very happy with the purchase. Update: July 2018 Almost a year after purchase and initial review, it still works at the same excellent level as when purchased. I've probably put on over 100 hours of USB conference calls since the original review last summer, and that's also my speaker in my home office when I'm having call quality issues on my desk phone. or when my headset battery ran out. I have successfully used this speaker on the latest IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad, HP Elitebook and Dell Latitude business notebook models. The narrator has mastered them all impeccably. Last month I had to answer a call in a network room where the speaker was literally 12 inches from a Cisco 3750 switch and the conference participants couldn't hear the background noise of the switch fan. I'd say the background noise cancellation is probably the best I've experienced from a hands-free model. If I could rate this item 6/5 stars I would.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Microphone is same as 510, speakers slightly better. Not worth it.

Rarely do I find a piece of technology that hits every mark. This one does!

**UPDATE: 750 better than 710. Want to know why the Jabra Speak 710 is better than the 510?
