This is a well designed and durable thumb brace. Unlike similar products I've used recently, the materials used in its construction are thick and durable, from the wide velcro straps that actually have hook and loop surfaces, to the lightweight, breathable mesh fabric on the palm and palm Back. There are two slim contour rails on the thumb and three adjustable straps (including a small one on the biggest toe) to ensure proper immobilization and a proper and secure fit. This is primarily a thumbs-only brace. The minimal wrist stabilization it offers is secondary to the width and stiffness of the adjustable wrist strap and is independent of any design features. I'm a six-foot-tall male of Northern European descent, and while I don't have very large hands, I usually wear oversized gloves. I find this orthotic to fit just adequately, but not generously. One would expect users with large muscular arms to find it too small for comfort and efficiency.
