I got this to use as a travel robe. It's long enough to cover me up but short enough so there's not a lot of fabric in the way. 3/4 sleeves are helpful as well.I'm 5'4" and 145 pounds, and after a wash and dry the size large fits me well, with enough looseness to accommodate pajamas . I like that the tie is not sewn in so that I can take it out before washing so that it doesn't tie up the rest of the laundry. (note the inside ties are sewn in)I've ordered a second one in charcoal and hope that I like it as well as the black.
