Spike Finder is very inaccurate. See attached photos. The point marked "C" is the actual center of the post, and the ^ marks are the actual edges of the post. Markers 1, 2 and 3 in the photos are where the device reported it found the edge of the hairpin. I punched a hole in the wall and then went to the other side to check. It's not even close, and the results after several tries were 1 to 1/4 inch from the actual edge of the bolt. FWIW - There are no pipes or wires to get in the way in this wall. I was very disappointed in the product. I plan to return. The laser level is okay, but it would be better if it also offered a vertical mode.
