We bought this item to replace an old 570 CFM exhaust. Since this one is rated at 760 CFM, we assumed it would perform the same as our old one. After going through the installation. Climbing into the attic to hook up the skylight isn't fun in the Florida summer. We ran at top speed and my kitchen filled with smoke. The predecessor could hold a piece of paper on the exhaust at 570 cfm, the fact that this should not have been a guide here. I got the cfm sensor and at max RPM it was only 157 CFM so something is definitely wrong. Hope someone from Amazon or the manufacturer can help, no need to delete and send back. Update September 25: If you follow their instructions, you will only get minimal flow at low speed and increased flow at medium speed. You have to touch the fabric filters to get sucked in and now I'm told it's supposed to work that way. Used scientific equipment to measure cfm at high speed, barely read 215 cfm, nowhere near 760 cfm, customer service is not very good.
