Review on Bovke USB Flash Drive Case Organizer: 48-Slot Memory Card Holder for SanDisk, Samsung, and More with Extra Mesh Pocket — Grey by Gary Perry

Excellent option - with caveats

There aren't many storage options of this kind. The case is well built and decently priced, but with caveats. It should be emphasized that the length of the saved disk has a certain limit. Drives larger than 2.25 inches (52 mm) will prevent the case from closing properly. They are just too long to close the lid without deforming or stretching the case. This is especially true if you want to store something in the storage pockets on the top cover. Unfortunately, about 20% of the drives I tried to store exceed this limit. I've accumulated quite a few flash drives over the years, and some older devices are just too long. Foam memory slots come in two sizes. I was hoping that the smaller of the two options would fit snugly in drives no larger than the USB-A connector itself. If they fit snugly, short drives (some newer flash drives are downright tiny) hold tight without falling through This is a disappointment, however, as the size is actually slightly oversized, so the small discs just fall to the bottom of the foam - meaning you have to pull the foam out of the case to pick them up off the bottom. If you can have multiple drives no larger than the working end of USB-A, remove the foam and collect any dropped drives. To put it mildly, very uncomfortable. Solutions include NOT storing discs that fit so poorly, modifying the foam, or adding tape or rubber banding to the disc to keep it from falling through, OR, in my case, add something. to the bottom of the slot to prevent drives from being inserted further than easily accessible. Of course, this solution means you have multiple slots that "fit" on a given drive, making the case a little less flexible but usable. The simple answer is, just keep discs that work well. however, this is not intentional in this design. It might work if you buy a bunch of drives that fit the slots properly - not too long, not too skinny, not too short - (Goldilocks approach), but again, those weren't the intentions or needs I had with it satisfy attempted purchases or the hopes I had in this case. the suitcase lay open on my desk. While it's nice to provide some organization, it doesn't help much for portability if I can't close it, and it defeats the purpose if I need to have two cases. Conclusion: I can neither recommend nor advise against a purchase if it exactly meets your needs. needs. The cover is of decent quality, the foam is of decent quality, the pockets in the lid are at the price level, the fasteners are good. Could I make the outer skin less "shiny" and have a huge logo at the top to my liking? Yes, that's not an argument for me either. The included carabiner is an interesting addition - not sure what it's used for other than holding keys or something. The idea of attaching it to something larger than itself, like a suitcase or backpack, is pretty silly, it's too big to get in the way and should be stowed rather than 'lugged' and thrashed. Considering the potential value a suitcase full of flash drives could potentially have, it would be imprudent to keep it safe in the form of a cheap, plain carabiner. I've given this item a 4 star rating - that's generous in terms of overall design, but good for a product if it fits your specific rims and needs. Finally, I wish there were more options in this category.
