These are brighter than you expect given their diminutive size.
I found the strobe effect to be somewhat annoying for night walking or jogging, but the strobe can be an advantage if you ride your bike in the dark or are a fast runner. The thing I didn't like - the plastic slip is somewhat flimsy and hard to clip securely to your clothes.
