Easy Porch Screening Solution

I like my new screened porch. We made the screen cleaner and that certainly helped. I wanted it to appear without a screen view and Screen Tight was a good solution for that. I had one of the most difficult mounting surfaces, probably highly textured plaster. So I had to pre-drill holes for the screws with a mason's stick, but the screws hooked up just fine. Due to the textured finish, I had to play with the depth of each screw a bit, but I used screen tight bar covers to get the right depth for a snug fit. It was also difficult to position the screws in a straight line on a rough, hard surface, but the screen-tight guide is flexible enough that I could usually get them to snap over the screw heads as long as they were close. My porch is made up of arches, which I managed by partially cutting deep slots in the railing, giving me enough flexibility to follow the arches. Due to the rough surface, I had to put a strip of high-strength limestone on either side of the rails to fill in the small gaps that let light in. This glue also helped strengthen the railing. This was not necessary around the wooden door frame. The rails snapped securely and securely into a smooth, straight wooden frame.
