Good chassis for mechanical dumpers

Very mixed reviews on this truck so let's see if I can clarify some points. This is a decent facility for the money. May I recommend as the first RC car? Depends on the. It's been my first since I was a kid and I know how to fix things so the trouble of owning this isn't a big deal to me. At the same time in standard form at NIMH, with and without a slight choke. hard reverse, spur gears and everything else should go on. In my opinion, these things are not 2-compatible, but have to be sold somehow. However, don't let that put you off, this is a great chassis to start with for someone like me who used to have hobbies and mechanical leanings. The main weakness with this one will be the spur, firstly the motor will fail from factory alignment once it's warmed up (the plastic stay warps I think) and it will chew on the spurs. It's easy to fix with a metallic finish, but it's definitely not a beginner's job. Second, the bed on the fuselage WILL BREAK after a few flips. Tried to boost mine but it won't last long which is normal for them anyway. The next question is disassembly. The entire chassis must be disassembled and then unbolted in half to gain access to the internal elements of the transmission, consisting of the tensioner pulley and differential. These parts are also usually available online for sharing, but this keeps the whole backend private. Another issue is the driveshafts/cups. Mine didn't break, but I can see they won't last long. Also, due to the loose design, they have large power losses. Can be easily exchanged. People say the ECU is broken but mine still works and I've spent some time with it. Just make sure to add fans or cooling fins to keep the electrics cool. It is highly recommended to also install the ECU away from the engine. As for the aftermarket, just measure things before you buy them. Wheels, axles, shocks, arms, hubs, anything can work if you know what you're doing. Is it that perfect? no This is the entry level, but there is room for growth. I wouldn't put too much into it but I've seen videos of guys turning them at 50 and they don't break (totally lol) and that's saying something. Yes, steel gears are available, but at $99 for the full set. or $40 for a spur. Take my advice, fix the motor mount and cut the teeth off your old skid but leave the flat part. Then attach the 92 ton aluminum spur gear and replace it with the 17 ton aluminum gear and it will work much longer. (I'll try to do a tutorial on YouTube someday as I can't find it myself.) Also, I wouldn't recommend shifting the gears to the highest gears as the plastic gear probably won't like it, but like me said it can all be replaced. Hope this helps some of you decide!
