Only unpacked today so won't be using it outdoors yet to comment. I'm 5ft 5in so I knew length would be an issue from previous reviews. However, I think the risk of setup limitations was worth it, moving the camera up and down from waist to eyes with ease was worth a shot. At first glance, my solutions seem to have overcome size problems. The way I did this was to disassemble the entire back half of the strap and remove all hardware including both retainers. Then I had the part that attaches the camera to the only device that was on the front. I fastened one holder to my waist to keep the camera in place and lifted the other to the rear link of the shoulder rest. I routed the extra straps through the back of the holders and then used the elastic over the bottom holder to keep everything tidy. I clipped the sewn end for easier threading in and out as I tried different incarnations. I burned these ends with a match to keep them from fraying once I was happy with the end result. I also tilted the buttstock back so there was more room to slide. The camera hangs a little lower than we'd like, but within reasonable limits. I can pull the whole belt over my head and under my arm without much effort. When I ride a horse my hands can be in the right position without banging against the camera. I look forward to trying this out in the field. I hope this explanation helps other little people. I would recommend that the manufacturer make two sizes as most women are smaller and will need a smaller shoulder strap. The difficulty with the size, that's why I gave it four stars. I believe this is the best quality in terms of material and workmanship. Hope the pictures help.
