We wanted to combine our remote controls in our bedroom. This remote closes the AppleTV, which is very nice. Just remember that the buttons on the AppleTV remote are the same buttons that can be used on this remote. This means that only the Menu, Play, Pause, OK and 4 direction buttons work. Turn off your AppleTV in the same way by holding down the menu button instead of the power button. We also programmed our BlueRay player and TV to this remote control. It manages all devices as they should. The volume buttons always control the volume of the TV, no matter what device the controller is set to. I will say that there are a few codes you should try when it comes to TV. For example, our Sharp TV worked with the first code on the list, but after playing around with it a bit, we found that some of the buttons didn't control the TV. I love the enter and sleep buttons. So we moved on to the next code and then those buttons controlled the TV. So check all the codes if certain keys don't work with your device. Great universal remote and backlit buttons help a lot in the dark.
