Review on 🎧 V-MODA XS On-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone: Folding Design, White Silver by John Maynard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If I had to choose just one pair of headphones, this would be it.

If I had to choose one set of headphones to listen to for the rest of my life, these are the ones I would choose. First, like all modern V-Moda headphones, the XS are built like a tank. They are made of metal rather than plastic and are great for on-the-go use. I can't speak to her true durability because I love her looks so I'm trying to be gentle. I don't want to ruin the beautiful leather on the headband. Plus, given their size, they fold into a surprisingly small package. You can then put them in the beautiful hard case that comes with the travel set. In terms of sound, it should first be said that these are NOT studio monitors. This is not a perfectly even answer. But if you're not an audio engineer, this still isn't what you need. They have the V-shaped sound that most people prefer and it's well executed. This is probably not for you if you like classical music or folk. These phones also don't have a great picture or great soundstage. What they do is ROCK. If you like rock, rap or electronic music, forget about beats and get this one. If they have one downside, it's the cable. It has no volume controls, just a play/pause/answer button. I also didn't think the orange cable looked good so I replaced it with a black one. The advantage of the cable, however, is that it's very well built and the mic and buttons are separated, with the mic closer to the face for better sound and the button lower for easier access. These are the details that V-Moda put into their design. Perhaps there are more accurate headphones out there, some with better imaging or detail. But if you're looking for well-built, well-designed headphones that you can wear all day while rocking hard, then these are for you.
