This thing costs next to nothing. I would only let a 3 year old wear it when riding a slow scooter in the yard. This helmet is so thin compared to the similarly sized Bell helmet. After light use, one of the straps detaches from the helmet. I took a closer look and saw that the strap was only held in place by a piece of plastic (like a straw threaded through the strap) supported only by a foam insert. This is probably only good for very young children to get used to wearing a helmet. This is not safe for children who can ride their bikes 7-10 mph next to traffic.
