The charger that came with my Toshiba C55t laptop has experienced an intermittent contact in the outlet that is connected to the laptop. Bought this charger to replace my original. It feels a bit heavier, both in terms of output current characteristics and cable thickness. He is also slightly taller and heavier physically. Being bigger and heavier isn't good for a laptop you want to carry around, but if it lasts longer I think it's a good compromise. Also, the original charger had a 2-prong plug, which was handy as I could plug it in anywhere and carry a lightweight 2-prong extension cord. This charger has a 3-wire plug. For this application, I don't think the 2-wire connector is a major security issue (I'll probably never take my laptop into the bath ;-)). The original 2-wire connector was a little more convenient. However, as long as the charger works great and continues to work well, I will be completely satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend it. Update April 8, 2020: I use this charger with my Toshiba laptop, which I don't use that often because I'm usually on my desktop. So far the charger is still working perfectly and I'm still very happy with it.
