This charger is considerably heavier and larger than the original charger that came with your computer (Toshiba), but it will work perfectly for months of almost continuous use. The rectangular plug is more convenient than the original charger because the computer's charging port is on the side.

At first I thought this charger wasn't working because it wasn't charging my laptop. However, when I go back to a working but damaged charger it was supposed to replace (which I only used a few minutes ago), my computer no longer charges or runs on external power. It seems like too wild a coincidence, so I can only conclude that this charger damaged my hardware.

The Toshiba charger that came with the Toshiba Satellite C55 laptop no longer charges. It worked like a charm. I've been using it for a month with no problems. Fitted in well so far, a few months later my laptop screen started to flicker frequently. As soon as I unplugged the adapter it stopped. Obviously there is some kind of short circuit in this replacement adapter. piss off!

This cable was great when I needed a quick replacement for a factory charging cable that had been damaged by a power surge and got lost. After about 8-9 months of normal home use of our laptop (with the cable always plugged into the surge protector) I got a low battery message and found that the cable stopped working. $11 for 8-9 months doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I definitely expected more life from this product.

As I said the charger works as expected with no errors so everything is fine with this product. Now I just want to complain about what it costs, the laptop it was designed for is a discount laptop and it shows that even installing a very light Linux distro cannot improve its performance. There was a version with a RAM upgrade, so maybe they're just models I bought at a flea market, but the laptop isn't worth it.
