You need a black and white printer for everyday printing at home. Due to ink shortages in 2020, we chose this type of toner-based printer while our Canon PIXMA TR4520 sat on the workbench. The PANTUM P2502W is fast, fairly quiet, doesn't eat paper, doesn't eat labels and the wireless functionality is amazing. I can print from any computer in the house with a hard drive and a Wi-Fi connection. DO NOT EJECT THE DISC! The USB and hard drive are for the initial setup on each device, keep the USB handy for devices without Wi-Fi. Overall we are very happy with the Pantum printer when the ink ran out and the toner needed replacing. we're stuck at Pantum! Don't get me wrong, for a $95 printer, $55 cartridges are pretty painful. Note that while you shake the cartridge when the faint light comes on, sometimes a few more pages will be printed. (Office wisdom) Each cartridge has approximately 1,600 pages. However, by comparison we printed with Cannon which required $53 for black and color cartridges and if we were lucky we only had to replace the black for $26 AND THE RIFLE STILL ONLY PRINTED 200 PAGES PER CARTRIDGE - if you are lucky.
