Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Red Suricata Rechargeable Air Pump โ€“ Mini Electric Inflatable Pump โ€“ USB Battery Powered & Portable Air Pump for Air Sofa, Pool Floats & Airbeds (NOT for Balloons) by Sonja Garcia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightweight, durable, ideal for camping

I purchased this on July 10, 2019 for $35.95 and paid full price (no discounts or freebies). When I review products, if a product works as advertised and the quality matches the price, I give it five stars up front and then subtract stars for issues with usability, functionality, defects, quality, etc. I give the product 5 stars. because it works as intended, charges as fast as the original, has no defects and is reasonably priced. We hike a lot in the summer and have struggled with air mattress inflation for years. We have had several of these pumps that use 4 "D" batteries which are good but these batteries are expensive and always seem to run out at the worst possible time. They are also heavier and bulkier than this pump. We've also used pumps that plug into the car's 12v adapter, which is very handy if you have access to that 12v outlet. We also use pumps that plug into a regular outlet . If the campground has a 110-volt outlet, here's what you'll see when comparing each of these options: Compared to a battery-powered pump, it'll last longer and probably be just as powerful. It may be a bit slower than a pump with four new "D" batteries, but it doesn't lose power after a mattress. By strong I mean how much it inflates the mattress. It's hard to say, but I'd say it's about the same. Maybe she's just a hair's breadth weaker, but I don't really care - her benefits are so great that even if she weren't that close, I'd still reach for this pump. This is significantly quieter. Compared to 12V and 110V pumps, it is slower, definitely weaker and definitely quieter. Corded pumps are the best option when you know you have access to power outlets and you don't have to worry about space. It's smaller and lighter, but if you're only feet away from an outlet, "small and light" probably isn't that important to you. One caveat is that these 12 volt pumps will drain your car battery faster than you think if you don't run your car. I can always keep it with my camping gear. It holds a long charge and is quiet enough to use at night on a campsite where a wired pump can make too much noise. Capacity wise I pumped a large boat line with this pump (my 12v pump was lost which is why I bought this) and it didn't seem to shrink in the end. Then I pumped up some air mattresses too. He has good stamina. If I had a pump I would choose the one I use the most. It's a lot better (for me) than the battery-powered "D" pump and a lot more versatile than the other two types. Although I have a 12 volt pump, it's easier to just carry it in my bag when I go boating than to carry my large 12 volt pump with a cord. It fits better in the boat's storage compartment. Two possible downsides. The first is for small thin air mattresses that need to be very strong, you may need to fill them with light ones. It's a decent compromise for me, literally in the same breath my climit got really hard after the cast. Second, it's expensive. But I think it's worth it. A decent, high-performance insulated campground can cost anywhere from $80-$100. And since you don't want to stuff a mattress, let alone a well-insulated camping pillow, with wet breath, having something to take on a camping trip is really nice. It's versatile, powerful and lightweight. I will buy again and recommend.

Pros
  • TESTED AND PROVEN DURABILITY - With Red Suricata you'll never have to buy another compact electric air pump again. Designed and tested to last. Unlike competitor products that look cute but don't work, our rechargeable air mattress pump can inflate the mattress at least 1500 times! Inflate a float, deck chair, or air mattress 20 TIMES without charging them.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
