Review on πŸ–₯️ LG UltraWide Curved Monitor 35BN75C B 3440X1440P: Unbeatable Clarity, 120Hz, HDR, Flicker-Free & More by Joe Vazquez

Great size for a home office - could be a little cleaner

A good monitor for a home office with Excel or programming. It's almost like having 2 monitors side by side. The resolution is a bit grainy as it's 3440 x 1440 or 21:9 (actually 21.5:9) and not full 4K but 2K. The monitor comes with speakers, which seems nice, but "MaxxAudio" is more like "MinimumAudio"; absolutely awful sound. My Lenovo Thinkpad has better speakers! LG touts OnScreen Control - according to LG "you can customize your workspace by splitting the display or adjusting basic monitor settings with just a few clicks" - however there is no software for the monitor on the support page. , firmware or manual can not be found. When you click on the software link you will need to enter your model number in the search box, however this model number cannot be selected which means you will not be able to find the software, firmware or even register your product. Contact LG support for a manual and link to screen controls. I spent about 2 hours looking for the software and manual. I'm almost on the verge of wanting to return the monitor because I'm disappointed with LG. Pros: * Big size * Great price * Decent con resolution * Grainy * No software included (the monitor actually came with a DVD but since my computer doesn't have a DVD drive it's useless Hey LG it's not 90 anymore - f ) *On the LG support site there is only one "brilliant object" site that promises a lot and doesn't deliver. The ultra-wide size is impressive, replacing two 24-inch monitors side by side.

Pros
  • USB Type-C connector, MaxxAudio
Cons
  • Update
