These scissors from Kai are some of the sharpest I've ever used. They retain their sharpness despite repeated use. In general I have a lot of experience with Japanese knives and these are no exception. Nothing compares, including titanium scissors from competing brands. They are sharper than the ceramic blades I tested. They are so sharp that I always have to keep them in a protective cap and out of the reach of my kids. I use them to cut through the bulky plastic packaging that many products come in or as a box cutter to open packages. and roll-up boxes for recycling. They are suitable for filigree work such as cutting paper or stationery. They have a very tight tolerance so it takes a bit more effort to compress, but you'll be rewarded with buttery smooth performance. Blades and tips are sharp! Keep away from children or animals and handle with care!
