Quality gone

I bought one of these over 10 years ago. It got loose so I decided to replace it. Inside the old label is written "big". So I ordered "Large/Extra Large" as a replacement. Well, I guess Ace's definition of "big" has changed. The one I received has "LG/XL" on the tag but it's a lot smaller than the old one. In fact, it's so tight that I have to take it off after about an hour. There is also a manufacturing problem or error. A fabric band is sewn around the hole where the back of the heel enters. Unfortunately, the end of this part coincides exactly with the Achilles tendon. The rim overlaps at this point and appears to have bonded, leaving a hard lump pressing on the tendon. God, how quickly it hurts! Well, I think another American-made product has fallen victim to cost-cutting and substandard overseas manufacturing. Ace, I'd be willing to pay more for good old American quality.

Cons
