Review on Sofucor Ceiling Lights Carved Noiseless by Sandra Egan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good wood grain; great customer service.

I have decided to replace the 2 less attractive Hunter fans in my home theater with these solid wood blade fans to match the wood ceiling. These 3-blade fans with much smaller motors and lower blade angle do not perform like traditional 5-blade fans; For example, you would need to use a medium speed to get the equivalent of a low speed. Since the environment suits my needs, no problem. They're called hard walnuts, which is an exaggeration. They are made of solid wood, however there may be a longitudinal seam where 2 parts are glued side by side. It depends on where in the factory the template was cut from the much larger panel. In addition, it is painted in walnut color. Given the grain, density and weight I would say they are probably solid alder. You want a lighter wood so it doesn't stress the engine when starting, and this type of wood warps less than hard wood. Probably due to supply and demand, the fan that came with the lighting kit was cheaper, so I went with it. Contrary to some criticism, flashlights save their last brightness setting. Both fans can also be controlled via a remote control. One of my fans refuses to balance no matter how many balance kits I add. Sofucor customer service was quick to send out replacement blades until I could fix the issue. They were amazingly friendly for a company that I'm sure is overseas based.
