Review on ๐Ÿถ Enhance Pet Safety and Freedom with Boss Pet Prestige Dog Tie Out by Cody Wuol

Suitable for occasional use

We live on a farm with three dogs who have enough space to roam around an unfenced property. However, our youngest has not yet learned to reliably come when called or to stay at home when not observed. Last fall, for his own good, we decided that if we didn't get right out of control, we'd take a pair of those ties and tie him up. So far they've held up pretty well. Our boy is around 60lbs but has quite a sensitive neck so he doesn't pull too hard on the leash. We tied two of the 40ft medium guy wires to a stake in the center of the backyard and loosened just enough to get into the tailgate so it could be hooked/unhooked without getting our feet wet. This gives him a nice, big circle, 80 feet in diameter, to roam at a time when he can't be off-leash. In total, he spends about an hour a day on the leash. With this spring, I noticed some rust on the terminals as well as a few nicks on the protective plastic cover along the entire length of the wires. There are also a few kinks where it could get caught (we mostly have a lawn, but there are a few decorative rocks here and there). These leashes have worked great for us, but I'm not sure how they will work for someone who has a dog that pulls more or needs to be on the leash more than ours. I would buy this item again if I needed a replacement but I hope our little one outgrows his 'selective hearing loss' that most teenagers have when they are totally exhausted.
