Oh god they are so beautiful. I have real opals (rings, necklaces, earrings), I love the fire in them. In fact it is very difficult to tell that these are not real opals, even if you hold them in bright light you can see a reddish tint, small crystals are clear and shiny. The opal's setting is a solid classic pear shape. The earring is not heavy, very comfortable, easy to put in the ear without a mirror. The hinge is of good quality and they are gold plated sterling silver. They are very cute and I have received several compliments in the few days that I have worn them.
