Although the footrest fits fully into the stand, the screws are too short to reach when fully seated. As you can see in the picture, the top of the stand doesn't reach the end of the inches. That's about all I could do to get the screws in just enough to grab, which isn't much. I'm afraid it will eventually fall. I used blue Loctite for the screws, but I still have to check it regularly. forever and ever. When installing, I loosely screwed the screws in to hold the top and bottom together, then "gently" tapped the gasket with a hammer to push it in harder, then tightened the screws to the last moment that allowed them to could go. cool but and helps with soft ground!
