Review on πŸ“š ZAGG Slimbook Go - Black Ultrathin Case with Detachable Bluetooth Keyboard - Designed for 2019 Apple iPad Pro 12.9 by Heather Rheault

Be careful with the rear stand

I've had about 5 Zagg keyboard cases for the iPad over the past few years. I like the old school Rugged Book for the older iPad Air 2. If they did the same style for the new iPad Pros that would be great. I had 2 Rugged Book Go for iPad Pro. Both of the struts broke off at the back. So this time I tried Slim Book Go. It is definitely different from Rugged Book. The keyboard is lighter and thinner and not as durable (you have to understand). The case that houses the iPad Pro is ok, there isn't much silicone, it's stiffer, but it certainly offers enough protection. The stand on the back looks like it's a bit larger overall than the Rugged Book Go, but I can tell you still need to open it from the center of the stand or with your hands on either side to open it evenly , so that this does not burst open. Do not snap any of the hinges. I think if they added a third loop in the middle or even two in the middle it would help. The only thing I don't like is that the Apple Pencil 2 fits into the case via a slot with a slight magnet, but that doesn't feel particularly secure. And you have to move it to the other side (outside) to charge it. Not a big deal, but if it could stay on the charger it would help. The keyboard itself is great. It is convenient to use and the buttons have a good feel. Overall I'm happy with it for the price I paid and would recommend it if you're looking for a good keyboard protector at a good price.
