My dermatologist told me I would have to use steroids to treat eczema on my hands about a day a week for the rest of my life. I was concerned about what I thought were some of the side effects of this and my arms were still breaking every week. A friend said her dermatologist recommended Eucerin cream. I've tried twice a day with a moderate amount and to be honest after helping for the first few days it didn't work. Then my hands got so bad that I knew from experience that the steroid would take a full week to get rid of the bumps, so I decided it was time to get serious about Eucine cream. I apply a small amount and rub it in (just like they say you rub in a steroid cream). When rubbed in, it looks no whiter than my sunscreen. Oily for a while but then fully absorbed. I use it every time I wash my hands. If my hands itch or burn, I immediately wash and reapply lotion instead of ignoring it like I sometimes do. So I apply it at least 6 times a day. After 2 days there was a radical improvement. Within a week my hands were back to normal. I will continue to use Eucerin Creme every time I wash my hands. I have tried many eczema remedies. I know different remedies work for different people, but this is it for me!
