Review on πŸ’¨ Ultimate Portable Styling: Hot Tools Professional 1875W Lightweight Ionic Travel Dryer by Lucia Ingalls

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just buy this! Best in Hair Care

I needed a dual voltage travel hairdryer for an upcoming trip to the Cook Islands and then to Fiji a few months later. I've read that converters sometimes fry high voltage appliances like hair dryers, so I didn't want to risk my $250 Babyliss hair dryer. I've spent hours researching street dryers to find the best value for money (I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a dryer that I would use several times a year, but I didn't want to use crappy dryers that are in the hotel can be found rooms). . I even narrowed the list down to 4 models and then sent the links to my stylist for her recommendation. She recommended Babyliss and it was my first choice as I have the 'real' one but I found a coupon for this one so I decided to give it a try. I got it a few days ago and used it for the first time this morning (here in the US) and I can tell you what a great little dryer! It was compact but didn't feel uncomfortably small. And man, at the top, this thing has some kind of power! It folds compactly and comes with a diffuser and another adapter. I have very thick slightly wavy/frizzy hair that I straighten with a flat iron and to be honest my hair is soft and straight after drying, not dry and frizzy like it sometimes is. I am very happy with this dryer and after using it today it will now be my dryer to take with me every time we go somewhere. This way I don't have to take my expensive things with me and risk being picked up from my hotel room or getting injured while traveling. If you're on the fence like me, just grab this one and that's it! Of course I haven't used it outside of the country yet and I'll update my review in a few weeks after we get back!

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
