When I noticed that my Tom's aluminium-based deodorant was starting to stain and smell on my clothes and irritate me from time to time, I started looking for a natural deodorant. I didn't feel like paying almost three times what I'm used to for deodorant, but since I rarely have to buy it, if it works, it seemed like a worthwhile investment. I really wanted to love this product, in more ways than one. I do. It smells nice, doesn't cause irritation, washes out of clothes, and works well on days when I'm relatively sedentary. I even like the packaging; Container color, cylindrical stick shape, logo. he looks great However, when this deodorant is put to the test, it fails. I was expecting more sweating when switching from a strong antiperspirant and detox, but I also expected odor to be controlled along the way, as the Oars+Alps website suggests. While this is normal on days when I lead a relatively sedentary lifestyle, it doesn't work on times when it really matters, like important appointments, workouts, job interviews, etc. Anything that causes a stronger than usual sweating reaction just makes you smell like BO. Repeated use helps, but not for long. I will use this product until the stick goes away. Who knows, maybe it will be enough if I get used to natural deodorant more. But for now I have to say it's not worth the price.
