Review on Crossbody Handmade Hipster Messenger Elephant by Bobby Montoya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What a great compact upgraded holdall for everyday use and travel

When I was in Bangkok I wanted one of those tie-dye duffel bags that were sold all over this big barter market but I couldn't find any that wasn't cheesy, decent quality and compact. Saw this at Revain thought I'd give it a try hoping it would fit my height (5ft 3in) and be of good quality. I was not disappointed. 1. Wide strap that is not too long. The width allows for a comfortable shoulder carry The short length of the strap prevents the bag from swinging too much If you are tall and/or wide you may feel the lack of strap length 2. The fabric has a decent thread count and a cute print. It's an adult floral print (btw, the seller just used a peacock print bag that was sold out to list this bag, so don't take the product name literally) and the muted colors go well with many clothing colors. Lining throughout the bag giving the bag good structure and the ability to withstand heavy loads. In general, the tailoring is good (I checked every seam). I also like oatmeal. Most of these bags have a thin black cotton lining (if lined). Difficult to find things in the black depth. 4. One large outside zip pocket, one smaller inside zip pocket and one smaller open pocket make this bag more convenient 5. Bucket shape to hold a water bottle and other bulky items. The inner size of this bag is not big enough for a 3-ring binder or a larger textbook if you want to use it as a school bag. It's also not big enough for a 15-inch or larger laptop. Smaller tablets will do. The current zipper is shot. If you are good at sewing, you can replace the top zipper. Also, some have complained about the smell. Smell from storage. It is the smell of vintage fabric, no need to worry. After 3 weeks of daily use, the musty smell is gone (I didn't wash the bag before use).

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
