Installation on the Xtrons head unit I bought was relatively easy. Connect to the USB port, then use the file manager to navigate to the camera and install the included APK. Then as soon as you insert an SD card (up to 32GB from what I've read, I used an 8GB card) it will start recording automatically. You can view and lock recordings and images from the dash cam via the included app. . Clarity is pretty good; it shows the recording status, the date and the duration of the current recording. You can choose how long each clip should be (1,3,5 minutes) and old recordings will be overwritten once the card is full.
