Review on 💧 Gates Water Pump - Model 41122 by Carlos Deuschle

I am an ASE master and vehicle technician. It was purchased to replace the water pump on a 2003 Trailblazer. I was generally very satisfied with the product. Form, fit and function were excellent, as were the finished surfaces. The porosity of the casting was not visible. The shaft bearing and water seal felt good. I have never used Gates water pumps. Time will tell if it will last even 100,000 miles like the OEM GM pump did. I would have given 5 stars but the paper seal that came with the pump was a little worse. I would like to see a higher quality gasket that comes with the pump. Overall not a bad product. The origin of the pump is China, in case that matters to you. The quality of this product was very high and I was happy with what I received. Keep it up Gates! Michael Kalagian - Mechanical Engineer
