That's why the Pro Controller is still the BEST way to play with D-Pay. On the Pro controller, the D-Pad is located to the right of the left analog stick, while on the Hori D-Pad it is located just below the analog stick. With my hands, this makes for a slightly tighter experience, and I had to fiddle with how to hold the Switch in my hand to avoid cramping my left thumb. Other than that, it's ridiculously responsive D-Pay. I wasn't afraid of not being able to pull off the Shoryuken or Hadoken moves in the 30th Anniversary sci-fi collection. This is the only reason I bought this controller (2D fighting games) and for this reason I am satisfied that the movements can be performed. But in terms of comfort, playing with the Pro Controller in TV mode is still better.
