Review on VA2246MH-LED ViewSonic LED Monitor with πŸ’» Anti-Glare, Office Inputs and 60Hz Refresh Rate by Xavier Cho

STRONG motion blur - downgraded to 2 stars

UPDATE (8/2021): After 6 months of ownership I am reducing my original 3 star rating to 2 stars. When the screen is completely still there is no movement, the picture quality is pretty good - and that's the ONLY reason I didn't get 1 star. But EVERY movement creates such a pronounced and distracting blur that I'll be scrapping and replacing this nearly new monitor. The page with photos scrolls particularly badly, where red stripes appear everywhere. For example, in photos of the face, it looks like someone's eyes/nose/mouth are bleeding. The more I use this monitor, the more I hate it. ORIGINAL REVIEW (3/2021): Bought this monitor to replace a 22" Samsung 220wm that was over 10 years old. While the picture quality is sharp and bright, there is SIGNIFICANT motion blur, MUCH worse than my Samsung 220wm. For example my DVR surveillance system has a PC viewer application with a timeline at the bottom with boxes showing where motion has been detected, when I drag this timeline from side to side the blur is horrible until that Point where it gets annoying. The attached image shows the timeline being dragged sideways and the same section of the timeline at rest. I was dragging it sideways at a reasonable and normal speed, typical of normal use. Notice how bad the individual blocks blur into one big lump. Even the cursor in the shape of a "hand" blurs into a double image when moving. You judge. Adjust a uf, i have a 60hz graphics card (same as the old samsung) the monitor's response time (selectable on the board) is set to i which is the fastest/maximum performance so it's as good as it gets. I've had this monitor for over 30 days so it's too late to return it. I wish my Samsung hadn't died because although it was over 10 years old it was vastly superior to this new Viewsonic.
