Small glowing replica of the moon in my room. The memory of the initial joy of unpacking this once magical lamp is just a memory. Tonight I was finally disillusioned with this decoration threat as it woke me up from my sleep for the 20th time, what is that? Look, this little moon used to do what it was supposed to do: hover silently over a faux wooden base while I rested. 2 months ago the base station started emitting a low frequency tone, something between a buzz and a hum. The sound is not entirely unbearable. It's just unfairly annoying. Coincidentally, 2 months ago, the moon began to fall into the base for no apparent reason. When this happens it makes a loud bang which is very noticeable especially when I'm sleeping as I use it as a decorative bedside lamp. and lamp on/off cycles have lost sensitivity. Upon unboxing I could barely touch the target area and that activated the lamp. After about a month or two, the targeted touch area required full pressure to activate the lamp. Lately I've been lucky if I can turn the lamp on or off whenever I want. Most of the time, the only way I can turn the light off is by dragging the moon away from hovering over the base, and then make it glow by swiping the base again. This thing isn't a lamp anymore. It's a headache maker. I bought this lamp in July 2020. So after 5 months this $99 trinket has completely lost its value and function. I thought this lamp was so cool when I got it and I only wish it was 25% to 50% bigger. Now I just wish I had spent that $99 differently. I would not recommend this item to anyone. This is disappointing.
