Updated Review - Not Recommended - Speaker exploded after 9 months of infrequent use

UPDATE: I've downgraded from 5 stars to 2 stars. The device lasted about 9 months before the internal speaker exploded. Now when people talk on Zoom, it looks like they're talking underwater. If you switch to the Nenrent S570 (bought right away), the sound is a little less loud, but crystal clear. I contacted the G11 seller after owning it for 11 months and they said "since so much time has passed there is nothing we can do." I was disappointed with this response. So why 2 stars and not 1? Well it was pretty cheap to start with, I think I paid about $22. It worked fine for about 9 months (I've literally only used it a few dozen times) and I kind of got my money's worth. But I won't buy another one or recommend this one. This is the one I use the most (charging box as a bonus) and it turns on/off automatically when removed/inserted from the charging box: https://www. amazon.com/NENRENT-Bluetooth-Invisible-Hands-Free-Smartphones/dp/B077G21QF1/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Nenrent%2Bs570&qid=1628809583&sr=8-2&th=1 FYI, so Nenrent is used much more than GoNovate Ich I'm only convinced of the durability of Nennent. Original Review (December 2020): I bought this as a cheap and wireless way to hear my callers during a Zoom call. I use a wireless microphone so I can move around the room when I work out. Since I'm recording calls outside of Zoom via OBS (for a much higher quality recording), when I'm just feeding the callers' audio through some external speakers, my microphone picks it up and creates annoying echo in the recording. Wired headphones with a long cord would get tangled in the cord and look silly. I bought this device and another, Nennent S570+. Both are very good for the price and most importantly they do the job I bought them for. In short, pros and cons of each: GoNovate G11 Pro: Small, unobtrusive, not as small as NenrentMatte Color so it doesn't glare in video light. Loud for its size, I'd estimate 25% louder than the NennrentHandy magnetic USB charger, but it's easy to lose. Good battery life, when it is fully charged, it shows "Battery low" when you turn it on. Because it is slightly larger than the nominal, its shape looks more natural when inserted into the ear. The charger is flexible so it can be adapted for PC or car use. The charger is very unique, small and easy to lose (tie a bright string to it or something). A little more than nominal. I use the Nenrent version more often, simply because I can put the receiver in the Nenrent between zoom calls. Charging case (similar to Apple AirPods case) that turns off and charges the headphones. When I take it out of the case, it turns on and connects to the last paired device (if available). This is REALLY SUPER HANDY as I make several different Zoom calls every day and the less fiddling with the technology the better. I get about 2-2.5 hours of zoom calls with nenrent. I haven't tested the GoNovate's overall battery life, but since it's a bit longer, I'm guessing it's a bit longer. Since I use Zoom so much every day, both devices need to be available and charged at the start of the day. After about 2 hours of using Nennrent the battery dies and needs charging for a while (I can't remember but it can take 30-60 minutes to fully charge) so I'll use the GoNovate for the next hour use one or two while the other charges. The sound quality is unobtrusive, but quite functional. These are tiny Bluetooth headphones under $20 that should be almost concealed when worn. For the price I think they sound very good, especially for my conversational use case. As for the music, well you can hear the music but it's not of high quality. I've never used Apple AirPods or any other high quality wireless headphones, but I suspect they all sound a lot better for music than any other, at a much higher price point of course.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure
