falsely advertised as a good home office solution, I had two devices and both made a lot of noise from my PC under load. A device was making a very strange noise when my computer was powered off and only passively powered via USB. The noise was loud enough to jolt me out of bed. My PSU kind of messed up and gave me a slightly different voltage than before and I had bad coil whine that I've never had before. None of the LEDs on the device turned red and no surge damage was reported. I sent the unit to Tripplite and asked them to reimburse me for the power adapter and shipping costs. They denied me that the warranty only covers surge damage and no other anomalies. The representative was a nice person, but eventually I ran out of money for the power supply and shipping costs. I'm not an electrical engineer so I have no idea what happened inside, but I do know that my old ancient surge protector has never given me any trouble and that nothing has ever made that much noise when I've plugged something in. I can no longer trust this company.
