We have a Pitbull/Weimaraner mix that loves to rush through our deserted backyard (next to Joshua Tree National Park) at wind speed. She had cactus thorns in her paws every day and kept walking on three legs instead of letting me pull out the stickers. We got tired of these shoes after putting them on her for the first time and seeing the weird lizard walk you've probably seen on YouTube. She got over that awkwardness in about 10 minutes and now she's INVINCIBLE in those boots! They don't slow it down at all and we haven't met a cactus ear they couldn't handle! Highly recommended. Make sure you measure correctly, I thought my 55lb dog would need a large one, but she only measured in the mid-range and they are PERFECT. Take the time to watch your pup the first few times he puts them on to make sure they aren't too tight or too loose. Watch your chews too. They won't be useful if your dog eats them right away! They are perfectly machine washable (we only air dry so far). I'm sure we'll use them until they fall apart, then we'll buy a new set. I hope they perform well on hot pavement when summer comes!
