Exactly what I was hoping for. I ordered an espresso colored fireplace for a rich brown contrast against the light colored walls. I was not disappointed and love it. Friends and relatives who have seen him also say that he is beautiful. The ETA for delivery was supposed to be around a week, but it arrived within a few days. I am very happy that it arrived in perfect condition as I would hate to have to repackage it to send it back. The packaging was complicated and it would be difficult to put it back in the box. I assembled it myself in about an hour and a half and took my time. I used a variable speed drill as it takes a lot of screws and using a standard screwdriver would take longer. Use a slow speed as you don't want the drill to go fast and be able to clean anything. You can find assembly videos on YouTube to help you, but it really isn't difficult. I hung a 60 inch TV on the wall and wanted a fireplace as the focal point. I bought this particular fireplace because it had 2 shelves on each side so the size of the TV wouldn't exceed the fireplace's capacity. I know other people just put their TV on it but I wasn't planning on using it as a TV stand. And I didn't buy it as a heat source to replace my stove. The heater protects the room from cold in the immediate vicinity. Don't expect it to heat a large room or an entire house. The flame is a good imitation of a real flame and is relaxing. There, the intensity of the flame is easily adjustable, as is the intensity of the glow from the logs. I didn't expect there to be light in the fireplace, but there is a light that can be turned on or off, giving the fireplace a three-dimensional quality. So this isn't just an on/off block. With adjustable flames, logs and light, you can have variations and customize the look to suit your mood or preference. Would I buy it again? Absolutely! I have friends and family who will buy it if they see mine, but I don't get any commission on the sale. darn it! To the reviewers who gave a bad rating, thank you for your input and I'm sorry for your disappointment. Everyone has different tastes. But if most of the reviews are well above 4 stars, I took the risk and am very satisfied.
