If it worked well I would be very happy with this monitor. However, there was one dead pixel on initial setup, which appeared as a solid red against a dark background. This defective pixel is too close to the center of the display to ignore and is annoying. With LCD televisions, the manufacturers usually leave a few defective pixels on the periphery through quality control. At a normal TV distance, they are usually harmless. At typical short viewing distances for computer monitors, a defect in this monitor raises doubts as to the source of this monitor [.] or an error in HP's quality control procedures, or both. Buy wisely and save the packaging material!
