I attached a magnet to the shower head and the connecting hose, there's nothing metallic there. Everything is plastic. Speaking of functionality. To say that the water is controlled in such a unique way that it is so extraordinary that it costs 45 times more than a regular multi-setting shower head is mind boggling. If anything, this showerhead is limited in that it can't help but emit the forceful, powerful jet needed to properly rinse off the soap. I can only assume others buy this for the aesthetics and beauty and for one attribute I would give it 5 stars.
