I really needed a bright replacement bulb for my 2002 VW Golf because halogens just don't cut it when you need to see what's behind you (especially when windows are tinted ). The market is flooded with LEDs (not a bad thing) so it's hard to just bet on a set and hope for the best I've done with them. They are easy to install, like most lamps. That was the day I installed. With the car off and the ignition key on in R, I went to the back to have a look and you can't look at these things directly. I mean BRIGHT. I had to wait until the sun was down and dark to get the full effect. I have never been able to secure my driveway and see where I am with the car. It was just impossible. With them it lit up my driveway and garage. Even after 20% tint I saw normally. I'm thrilled that I can finally see behind me. This also provides outside light for my rear dashcam/backup camera which is located in the window privacy screen. You don't see much on the screen at night, with these LEDs it's not a problem to see through the camera behind you at night. Can't comment on durability yet, but there's usually a good return/exchange/warranty policy for this type of stuff. revenge
