I ordered this after receiving the Revlon Volumizing Dry Brush. I was looking for a drybrush that would add frizz and movement to my hair. First, let me say that I am a professional barber. I know how to use these products. I know what to use to prep my hair to ensure my hairstyle stays the same. I am very familiar with the Hot Tools brand and have had many other products made satisfactorily by them. My first impression was: "This is a fake. is this a joke? To kid? The construction is very fiddly. If it falls, the handle will break. I have a feeling it's like what I would find in a dollar store. This is not the typical design and quality of the regular Hot Tools brand. I stayed optimistic and gave it a try. a plus because it eliminates heat damage. It was light and easy to maneuver my medium length hair. You couldn't just use this to dry your hair. You must pre-dry it to 85-90% dry before use. when your hair tries to tangle I'd like flexible bristles like a round brush so you can really work to curl the curls but it doesn't, tangles increase even with larger diameters. I've used it 3 times and each time the curl/wave stays on for a very short time. I can brush my hair with a regular round brush and blow dryer and it lasts all day. It doesn't even stay 2 hours maximum. I have to say that I spent time reading reviews before buying it and I've seen many women say they got tangled in their long hair and used 3/4 inch. This diameter is too small to use with hair longer than 4 inches (and it's annoying). So if you decide to order, you MUST order a larger diameter for your hair length or you will definitely get stuck. I ordered 1 1/4 inch for looser curls. I will definitely be back as I get the best results on tight curls/waves with a round brush and blow dry.
