JBL has succeeded in becoming one of the most well-known brands in the portable audio industry. It would appear that this was a term that was well-earned in earlier iterations of the game, but in my opinion, those days are long gone. The speakers produced by JBL are currently not any better than those produced by a number of competitors that have brought themselves back to a healthy state; yet, due to the hype, JBL is frequently more expensive. At the same time, it is clear that the corporation intends to reduce and streamline the complexity of all of its operations in order to save money. In the fourth iteration, they did not replace one of the speakers, which led to an imperfect reproduction of the higher frequencies; in the fifth iteration, the tweeter was reinstated, but the AUX was eliminated.
