As with many other electronic devices, you cannot plug the Switch into this charger without removing the cover. So, after the first try, the Switch owner removed the case from their device because they want to use this charger instead of the one that came with the Switch. on the go when needed and when left on the table it doesn't take up much space. The fan is a nice addition. When a kid is using the Switch and it gets hot, they put it on this charger to cool it down.
