Review on FurnitureClinic Leather Re-Coloring Balm Cleaning Supplies at Household Cleaners by Joshua Sarma

Wow - 10 year old sofa looks almost new

This dark brown leather sofa is over 10 years old. This is the only piece of furniture we allow our dogs to wear so they can watch the critters outside. The photo shows that the skin is badly scratched. It looks amazing after using this revitalizing balm! The whole process for this sofa took about 90 minutes! This is good quality leather, there were no cracks or very deep scratches on it. I followed the advice of other reviews and made sure to do a drop water test before ordering to make sure the FurnitureClinic Refinish Balm was absorbed. When I got this I did a test area and the color matched great and after 10 minutes nothing was bleeding. All I did to prepare was vacuum and wipe down with a damp cloth. I rubbed the balm in with the included pad (wear gloves), making sure to rub in all directions so it got into any scratches. After sanding the entire sofa, I applied a second coat to some of the really scratched seats. I let it sit for 10 minutes, then I polished the whole sofa, put old white cotton socks on my hands and just rubbed them. When I did it was a little shiny and the skin softened. (If not polished, then it was dull and hard in badly scratched places). I saw almost no color on my polishing rag, but just to be sure I tried again with a clean white cotton cloth and got nothing this time. We sat on it for a week, it's been in the sun and has warmed up, but the color hasn't changed. The sofa looks a lot better. I only used 2/3-3/4 containers to make the whole sofa and it took me about 90 minutes total. Would definitely buy this again!
